Awww Murphy!

I just had to share this picture. The girls are both really concentrating, but Murphy just looks so sweet snuggling with Alexis...awww!

I believe we've made a decision regarding Kindergarten. After thinking about it over the weekend, we've decided to wait another year. The amazing teachers at Kaylee's school assured us that if we decided to enroll her again next year, that they would really challenge her for us. Personally, since I am a very involved parent, I know that if she is not being challenged enough in elementary school that I will be able to give her enough extra challenges at home. Honestly, kids want to grow up way too fast anyway without the added pressure of beginning school at such a young age. I want to give Kaylee every opportunity to just be a kid.

I am just extremely grateful that we are so blessed! The fact that our biggest worry about Kaylee was whether or not to enroll her in Kindergarten early...we are truly blessed! I think about families with children with severe health problems and often wonder...why me? Why do I have it so good? What did I do to deserve this? But then I realize, it has absolutely nothing to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with God. Nothing I have was gained by something that I did...but by what He did! It just makes me want to give all that much more...to share the wonderful blessings I have received with others.

I refrained from comment last week, but personally I think keeping her in preschool another year will be great, and not just for my own selfish wants, but because it is such a personalized program for each child, she's probably going to get more there. Did you decide about the Preschool helper thing?

Murphy looks quite content. Alexis has the look of concentration, if ever I've seen one.

Hey Amy! I also was one to refrain from making a comment last week. *blush* I have been on both sides of the coin and am a huge advocate of holding back a young kinder. I'm glad you are feeling good about your choice and like you mentioned you can always supplement at home. And just think one more year to love your baby.
