I just had to post this. An assignment Alexis had this week was to write about what she liked the best about her home. It is simply amazing! Enjoy and may you be blessed reading it and thinking of your own home:
My home is only one of my many all-time favorite places. It does many things: shelters me from storms and snow; warms me from head to toe after a cold day outside. There is a symphony of love and care waiting for me. All of my family has tender loving care for me. Sometimes I can smell dinner cooking; from chicken and peas to pizza. Also in bed before I sleep I can read my favorite book or write a good story.
I love all of these lovely things because they are heart-warming and soul-nourishing. Succulent, mouth-watering s'mores and cider by the fire are very nice. The very thought of these great things make me feel fantastic.
Over all of the things that I love, my home is one of my favorites. Even if we depart eternally from it, it will always, as long as I live, be in my memories.
