Big Birthday Blow-out!

Sounds like a sales pitch doesn't it? Anyway, I just thought I would post our flurry of activity this past weekend.
  • Friday evening was Alexis's 'friend' birthday party. We rented out Jump-n-Play and she invited 20 of her closest friends. Only 11 were able to attend, but that didn't keep the fun from happening. 11 kids jumping and playing for over two hours, eating pizza, and making L-S-Ps...good times! (LSP is Lemonade, Sprite and diet Pepsi mixed together...like the good ol' suicide)
  • Saturday started with Ryan, Kaylee, and me singing "Happy Birthday" to wake Alexis up. This day was all about Alexis. She got to pick everything we did. First we spent the afternoon at the pool. Then we headed to Popcorn and Candy. The girls bought candy, Jelly Bellies, Cotton Candy, and cheddar cheese popcorn. They also got to sample some gummy butterflies and chocolates. Next we went to the 4pm show of Avatar: The Last Airbender in 3D. It was a pretty good movie...not as good as How to Train Your Dragon by any means, but still good. Then we walked to Old Navy to find Alexis and Argyle shirt. She picked Red Lobster for her birthday dinner (DARN!), then we went to Target to shop for some birthday presents. She found a game she wanted "In a Pickle", but didn't find anything else there that she wanted. So we went to Gamestop. There she picked out Super Mario Galaxy 2, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, and 2000 DSi/Wii points. We came home and played a game of In a Pickle.
  • Sunday we tried to go out for breakfast before church @ Subway. Question: who says they are open for breakfast but then doesn't turn their oven on? We had to wait for almost half an hour for our sandwiches and they were still cold because we got tired of waiting. At least they were still tasty....we were late to church of course! What else is new, ha!
  • Since she was the birthday girl, we let Alexis decide which meal we would go to Gramma and Grampa's house for. She wanted to go for lunch, so we did. We had some really nice quality family time...and some good sweating time too! The girls played in the sprinkler and the adults sampled the last bottle of Grampa Willman's wine.
  • The girls wanted to relax and play some video games when we got home and Ryan and I went to the pool for some more sun/sweat time:) Then the girls spent the rest of the evening playing with our neighbors and we all sat in our driveways watching the fireworks. From our driveway you can see the fireworks in Pittsboro, Brownsburg and Avon! Who knew? Then we all walked to another neighbors house for smores.

When all the partying was over, it was past 11pm! These kids sure know how to have a good time!
